Boise County records are split among local and state custodians. Start with the office tied to the document:
- Police and incident reports: ask the law-enforcement agency that created the report
- Arrest, booking, and holding records: submit a specific written request to the Boise County Sheriff's Records Section
- Filed court cases: use the Boise County court case lookup guide or contact the Clerk of the District Court
- State criminal histories and official checks: contact the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification
- Expungement, sealing, or Clean Slate shielding: follow the remedy's official instructions and file with the proper court or BCI as required
- Certified court copies: request them from the clerk for the court where the case was filed

The clerk's phone is 208-392-4452 and fax is 208-392-6712. The public counter is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. The clerk can address copies, certified judgments, older files, and material not available through public iCourt access.
